The artistic successor to the Carolingian Renascence, the German, Swiss and Italian Ottonian manuscripts provide some of the best depictions of people and fashions in this period. Henry Mayr-Harting's [MAYR-HARTING 1999] two volume study draws on 70 Ottonian manuscripts and is the basis for this list although the numbering system is our own.<br>
