English belts are occasionally visible. Tunic necks are oval or round with no facing. Copper brooches are common although silver is falling out of fashion.

Viking. Last period before central European fashions take over. Wrap-around coats and alternative trouser and tunic fashions still exist. Silver is worn as arm and neck rings instead of coins. Hiberno-Norse fashions are popular; thistle brooches, ring pins.<br>

English tunics are rucked to hide the belt. Tunic necks are often square in shape and faced. Metal jewellery is rare although there are some pewter and copper items. Ringerike bone pins. No silver jewellery!

Romance fashions otherwise known as Norman fashions start to be introduced.
