Mammen
The Mammen site was re-excavated in 1986. The mound was approximately 13m in diameter and probably originally about 4m high. The burial chamber was walled in oak planks about 1m high and was approximately 3m long by 1.8m wide. The body was placed in a box about 30cm in height and placed along the north wall of the chamber.
