:Type- Unknown. Found in an excavation of a railway cutting. c.900-1000
:Find Date- Before 1864.
:Total Length- 88cm (Complete)
:Blade- Double edged. Length 77cm (complete), width 5cm. Probably pattern welded.
:Hilt- Petersen type P. Both cross-pieces are decorated with untwisted silver and copper wires. (Grieg 1940). Type Y (Żabiński 2007)
:Scabbard- None
:Comments- Grieg describes the sword as coming from Elginshire
