{{Stars2|Category = Manuscripts by Area and Period}}
The artistic successor to the Carolingian Renascence, the German, Swiss and Italian Ottonian manuscripts provide some of the best depictions of people and fashions in this period. Henry Mayr-Harting's [MAYR-HARTING 1999] two volume study draws on 70 Ottonian manuscripts and is the basis for this listalthough the numbering system is our own.
The following list of manuscripts is based on the work of Henry Mayr-Harting [MAYR-HARTING 1999].
The only other book in English that I know of that discuss Ottonian art is Dodwell's 'The Pictorial Arts of the West 800-1200' [DODWELL 1993].
