Swords of Type VI found in Britain

:Current Location- British Museum: 1881,0509.18. On long-term loan at Lincoln City Museum.:Type- ? c.1100-1200:Find date- Unknown?
:Total length- 90.5cm (Complete)
:Blade- 28” 71.1cm (81"). Illegible script of silver inlay ‘ANTANANTAN’. Broken half way down:Hilt- Guard of Petersen type Q but pommel different(Bjorn & Shetelig 1940). BM states classes it as a Type Z.
:Scabbard- none
:Comments- Oakeshott describes the find location as Norfolk. Both Bjorn & Shetelig and the BM website state it as Lincoln. The BM Website states the dating and Type Z as coming from Evison's paper in 'Archaeological Journal vol.124 p.183', that we don't have access to.
