:Hilt- Type Lv (Viking Age Compendium). Petersen Type L (BM Website 2015):Scabbard-None:Comments- Bjorn & Shetelig describe a sword acquired by the BM in 1856 as 'The Thames, off the Temple'. I think this is 1856,0701.1405 on the BM website.
