Wargear
From The Viking Age Compendium
(Redirected from Category:Armour)

Viking Age Wargear was both functional and indicative of a person's social status.
Weapons of the era included Swords, Axes, Spears and Knives. Armour was usually a Shield, possibly paired with a Helmet and more rarely a Mailshirt. Missile weapons such as Bows and Slings seemed to be sparingly used on the battlefield prior to the Norman period.
